Foundation Qualifications
These qualifications provide a comprehensive introduction to the front office and operations areas of the financial markets. They are designed for those who are just starting their careers within the financial industry, as well as for candidates who need a deeper understanding of the terminology used within the marketplace.

These examined qualifications are available as either a three day classroom based course or a three month online learning programme (with the exception of the IFI and IPM). Candidates who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate, jointly issued by ICMA and the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Advanced Qualifications
These qualifications are designed for those within their first 10 years in the financial industry. The training is both challenging and demanding and will equip participants with practical skills which they can use in their day-to-day work. Many expert speakers contribute to each of the programmes, which provides candidates with key insights into the financial industry.

These examined qualifications are five days in length. The ICMA Fixed Income Certificate (FIC) is also available to study through our online learning platform. Candidates who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate, jointly issued by ICMA and the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Training Programmes
In addition to our examined qualifications, ICMA Executive Education offers a number of non-examined training programmes throughout the year. These courses are 1-2 days in length and look at a single topic covered within our Advanced Qualification programmes, but in much greater depth. The courses are very focused and provide an opportunity to network and discuss the issues affecting the financial markets with your industry peers.

Online Learning
ICMA Executive Education is able to offer candidates the ability to study several of our qualifications through our online learning platform.
The training is delivered through our innovative platform, Canvas, which allows candidates to build an online profile, interact with other students and work through the material in a structured way with the help of practical examples and videos by the course tutors. There is also an e-Tutor available to assist with any questions candidates have.

Diplomas
ICMA Executive Education offers candidates the opportunity to achieve a recognised financial markets diploma by completing training in a defined pathway.  Relevant to all financial market practitioners, the diplomas provide candidates with up-to-date and practical knowledge to advance their careers.  Candidates will also benefit from being able to network with their industry peers. The two diplomas focus on either Securities and Derivatives or Financial Market Operations and are achieved by candidates successfully completing a Foundation and/or Advanced qualification in their chosen pathway, in addition to two specialist level ICMA training programmes.

Scholarships
ICMA offers a limited number of scholarships for employees of member firms who are under 25 years of age. The goal is to develop the skills of people who are at the start of their careers in the financial markets industry by encouraging access to ICMA EE courses, particularly the Foundation Qualifications. 

There are a limited number of scholarships available for each ICMA member firm. Students who are eligible to benefit from the scholarship rate receive a 50% discount off the ICMA member rate (a 30% discount off the non-member rate) for attendance on any ICMA EE course.
